Warfield, a bedroom community between Trail and Rossland, BC, received a brand new swimming pool as part of their 1967 centennial celebrations. It is now known as the Kootenay Savings Water Park.

Built beside Highway 22 at Montcalm Road, the pool is at the bottom edge of the town adjacent to the CPR railway track. In 2002, as part of another commemorative celebration, the pool was redeveloped, renovated and a water park added. This celebration was for the golden jubilee of the town itself.
The pool is 82' by 45' with 6 lanes and has a 20' x 36' diving board area. Also the pool now has, as added attractions, the water park, a playground and a pair of water slides, a large one for larger people and a smaller one for the tots. There is, as well, a fair sized parking lot adjacent.
Kootenay Savings Water Park
The Warfield Centennial Pool, built in 1967, was redeveloped and a water park added as a legacy of the of Warfield Golden Jubilee celebrations in 2002. Major support for this project was provided by the Kootenay Savings Community Foundation, a significant legacy from the Warfield Credit Union. Contributions from Teck Cominco Metals Ltd. and many other businesses, community organizations and volunteers helped make this project possible.
