Built between 1904 and 1906 for the increasing needs of a place to worship for the Jewish people. Shaarai Torah is the only unaltered Jewish synagogue left from the 1900's.

A Classical Revival style synagogue, that is a scaled down version of Congregation Kehilath Jeshrum in New York City. The architect was Edwin T. Chaplin of local architect of note. The first Jewish service was held in 1877 at the German Forhsinn Club. In 886 a second synagogue was formed. By 1916 the synagogues in Worcester had grown to 8. Shaarai Torah was contructed to meed the religious needs of Eastern European Jews that had settled in Worceser.
