This large dated building, the Canadian Wheat Board building, occupies half a city block on the east side of Main Street just north of McDermot Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

It's actually two buildings; the smaller original on the left hand side was built in 1928 designed by Northwood & Chivers and the later addition of 1962-1963 was designed to co-exist with the original facade. The original building, the Wheat Pool Building, has a large doorway opening while the new building has a very simple doorway. The extension uses the same window rhythm and size, and concrete ribs to continue the flow of the original building. There is no cornerstone on the original building. (
