Adeiladwyd yn gynnar yn nheyrnasiad y Frenhines Victoria yn
Neuadd y Sir ac yn Llys. Cynlluniwyd gan Thomas Wyatt a David
Brandon mewn steil Doric Groegaidd Clasurol a wyneb cerrig bath.
Cynhaliwyd Sesiynau Chwarter Sir Aberhonddu yno hyd at 1972.
Daeth yn Amgueddfa Brycheiniog yn 1974.

Old Shire Hall

Built early in the reign of Queen Victoria as both County Hall and
Courthouse. Designed by Thomas Wyatt and David Brandon it is in the Classical Greek Doric style and faced with bath stone. Breconshire
Quarter Sessions were held here until 1972. It became the
Brecknock Museum in 1974.

The old Shire Hall is now the home of Brecknock Museum and Art Gallery
