Located on the south side of Watton, alongside Brynmawr Terrace. The plaque records that the Peace Garden was a Millennium Project initiated by the Brecon Town Council with the assistance of Powys County Council, Brecon Beacons National Park and volunteers. The plaque also lists the other sponsors.
The official opening was by the Mayor of Brecon, Councillor Mrs Susan D. Francis on 23 June 1999.
The white post bears the inscription MAY PEACE PREVAIL ON EARTH.
