The former site of the Turkey Run Christian Church, which was established in 1828, is located near the rear fence, on the west side of the Old Turkey Run Cemetery, near Wingate, Indiana.
There is a white stone, flush with the ground, with following text carved into it.

Wingate, formerly known as Pleasant Hill, is a town in Coal Creek Township, Montgomery County, Indiana, United States. The population was 263 at the 2010 census. Wingate was platted, (as Pleasant Hill), by Christian Bever in 1832. Citizens renamed the town in honor of prominent townsperson, John C. Wingate. (
