Novy Hradek is a small town into the Nachod district. Novy Hradek probably originated as a settlement of the adjacent Frymburk castle (visit link) . The first written mention about Novy Hradek is from 18th July 1362.

The oldest building in Novy Hradek are the ruins of Frymburk castle. In middle of the square is a Marian column from the 1747. The fountain was built in 1864.
