One of the most beautiful gateways to the Orlické mountains is the town of Dobruška. Its location at the crossroads of old trade routes made it a natural catchment centre of the whole surrounding area. The first written report about Dobruška as a town was already made in 1320.

A dominant of the town itself is a Renaissance Town Hall. There is a wonderful view of the Orlické and Krkonoše mountains from the open-to-public gallery. In the representative rooms of the Town Hall the pieces of the world-known painter František Kupka first work have found its proper place for exhibition. He spend his childhood and youth in Dobruška.

Jednou z nejkrásnejších vstupních bran do Orlických hor je mesto Dobruška. Jeho poloha na križovatce starých obchodních cest z neho ucinila prirozené spádové stredisko celé okolní oblasti. Nejstarší písemná zpráva o Dobrušce jako o meste je již z roku 1320.

Nejvýznamnejší budova mesta z 16. st., do r. 1765 zde sídlil hrdelní soud, pozdeji mestská samospráva. Radnice prežila dva velké požáry v 19. st. Soucástí stavby je 45 m vysoká vež, která z ochozu nabízí výhled na Orlické hory a Podorlicko, za príznivého pocasí lze dohlédnout i na Krkonoše.
