Built to honor Copernicus, the father of modern astronomy, by the Kopernik Society of Broome County. It is 13 miles southwest of Binghamton in Vestal, near the Pennsylvania border. Its purpose is to offer hands on investigation using telescopes, computer and other tools. It has regular Friday night programs. There are also hiking trails and geocaches here.
