I was able to spot the ISS from my driveway on Monday, October 27, 2014. It came into my view at about 6:57PM and passed high in the sky at 89º. It passed from the NW to the SE on its way over San Jose and down to San Diego, about 480 miles away, where Metro2 was able to see it as well. (See WMMQZH.)

The ISS was visible for several minutes. I was able to take some 15 second time-lapse photos showing the trace in the sky. Interestingly, an airplane was tracking the ISS in an almost parallel path and the airplane is visible in a slightly dimmer track paralleling the ISS in my photos. The ISS, at a higher altitude and faster speed, was matching the slower speed aircraft at its lower altitude.
