This simple cemetery is surround by a tall hedge with a single entrance. There is one unmarked headstone and a memorial plaque attached to a stone in the center of the cemetery. The plaque reads:

Here lie the remains
of the unknown sailors
who lost their lives
in the shipwrecks off
the coast of Chatham
