Built in 1888 in a primarily Irish and Swedish working class neighborhood. The residents in the area wore employed in the nearby steel wire mills in Southern Worcester and Quinsigamond Village. It has many characteristics of Italianate style. The original owner was Philip Duke a laborer and his son a machinist.
