"De pocas partidas he aprendido tanto, como de la mayoria de mis derrotas.

A los 80 anos de que jugo en este edificio una partida de simultaneas

La Habana 19 de noviembre 1888 Nueva York, 8 de marzo de 1942"

which translates to:

"In few games have I learned so much, and mostly by my defeats.

Jose Raul Capablanca, Chess World Champion 1921-1927
It has been 80 years since he played a simultaneous game in this building.

Havana November 19, 1888 New York, March 8, 1942"
