This is a 1.5 times larger than life statue of Robert Griffin III
The statue is 9.5 feet tall. RG3 is 6.3 feet tall. The statue of Baylor’s only Heisman Trophy winner is in a plaza between the new McLean stadium and the Brazos River. That plaza is at the end of a 775-foot pedestrian bridge over the water that many fans walk over to get to the stadium.
From Wikipedia: "Griffin attended Copperas Cove High School, where he was a three-sport star in basketball, football, and track for the Bulldawgs. He started at quarterback for two seasons."
"Griffin initially committed to play for Houston under head coach Art Briles. When Briles left Houston to take the head coaching position at Baylor, Griffin switched his commitment and eventually signed a letter of intent to play for Baylor, in part because the university also had a top track and field program."
Griffin is now in his third season of professional football playing for the Washington Redskins.
