St Georges is built in the Federation Gothic style of local stone with brick buttresses and window surrounds and is cruciform in plan, On 29 July 1899 Mrs C. Piesse laid the foundation stone and the church was completed 18 months later. The church was consecrated on 11 February 1902, by C. O. L. Riley, the Anglican Bishop of Perth.
