North-Bohemian spa town Teplice, really rich for fountains, can be also called "city of fountains". Depicted beautiful neo-Baroque "Horse" fountain ("Konská" kašna) of Italian origin, is one of these interesting elements of the town's public space.
The depicted marble fountain decorated by animal sculptures (horses and lions) and by Cupid holding bown with snake, was acquired in Venice by former owner of the Teplice demesne Prince Carlos Clary-Aldringen in 1910. This valuable piece of Italian art was mounted on this current position in the front of Stone Spa sanatorium (Kamenné lázne) in 1948.
Teplice municipal fountains are in full operation daily (6:00-24:00) from April 15th to October 15th.
