It's just an aluminum pier (that replaced a wooden pier) that runs along side of the bridge on River Fork Road.

River Fork Road Public Fishing Pier is located (you guessed it) on River Fork Road.

Directions from the town of Waterloo, take US Hwy 221 S for approximately 0.5 miles to a right onto River Fork Road (State Road S-30-29). Travel 1.5 miles and the access area will be on your right.

The pier is cosponsored by Laurens County, South Carolina and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR).

This is your typical lake fishing pier - it's about 130 feet long, so that would give you about 260 running feet of fishing space.  It runs parallel to a roadway bridge, so casting distance is quite limited on one side.  It can get quite crowded when the crappie are running or on a warm weekend night.

Usual catches include bass, catfish, brim, and perch.

You are about 20 feet off of the water, so plan accordingly if you are going to catch "a big 'un" - Pier net or similar landing device is suggested.

The parking lot has about 10 spaces and there is additional parking a little farther away.

The adjacent area has a beach, two boat ramps, a dock, and pull through parking for vehicles with boat trailers.

The closest convince store is about a mile and a half away in either direction.

Recommended tackle: Medium Duty Tackle, Pier/Drop Net

Recommended fishing methods:
Just about anything will work here - worms, live bait, liver or "stink bait" for catfish. Lures will work, but with the distance to the water it is difficult.
