In Kennedy Commons in downtown Anaconda are several replicas of the original light standards once used in the downtown area, all of which are dedicated to past citizens of the area.

This lamp post was dedicated to the memory of Norma McLean, a past resident of Anaconda, by Pat & Charley Purseglove and Mary & Marty Messner.

Florence was born November 24, 1899, passing away on February 17, 1995 at 95 years of age. A resident of Anaconda all her life, Florence worked as a reporter for the Anaconda Standard during the 1920s. The Standard was one of the best known and best read newspapers in the northwest in the latter part of the 1800s and the early 1900s.
