Holy Well - Rokole, Czech Republic - Holy Wells on Waymarking.com

For centuries this water spring in the gorge has been attracting pilgrims's attention. The water is said to be healing.

The magic power of the water was discovered by a forester. It helped him to cure his blind son. And the grateful father had a small roof built above the spring. The Way of the Cross on Rokole dates from 1874 when this place probably enjoyed the greatest interest of pilgrims.

The pilgrim place Rokole is situated in the vicinity, close to the left bank of the Olešenka River, 6km eastwards of Nové Mesto nad Metují.
