The cemetery is the only remains of what was known as New Savannah, GA back in the late 18th century. Today it is near the entrance way of New Savannah Bluff Lock & Dam park.

It was restored by the Local Society of Colonial Dames in 1935. The oldest date of death I could find was 1770, a 4 year old child. Some of the graves I could not read the names or dates of. Here is a website that has details and history of the gravesite.

(visit link)

There is a beehive at the cemetery as of Oct 15, 2014 and is well marked not to disturb so please no dogs in the bricked graveyard site.
