This is the memorial of the victims of The Battle of Nachod [CZ: Náchod] (visit link) . It was the first major action of the Austro-Prussian War on June 27, 1866.

Na severním okraji lesa nad Václavicemi je mohutný pískovcový jehlanec venovaný III. eskadrone 6. pluku rakouských kyrysníku, zdobený reliéfem dvouhlavého orla a krížem Vojenského rádu Marie Terezie. Pomník nechal v roce 1900 zrídit podmaršálek Josef Siebert.
