"Lych Gate about 8 metres south of Parish Church of St James. Perhaps 1860 by Sir G G Scott who restored the church. Ashlar slatestone and granite with gabled roof of alternate courses of plain and fishscale slates. Crested ridge tiles, timber lattice work in gable ends. Tiled floor beneath gable with granite coffin rest set on dressed freestone slab. Side walls supporting roof have slits separated by chamfered granite rounded finials to styles and strap hinges."
