Find the trailhead kiosk just northeast from the junction of FR4600-370 with FR16 near Three Creek Meadow, south of Sisters. Hike southbound on the Metolius-Windigo Trail #99 for about 2.9 miles to the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on a steel pipe in a mound of stones; rising 6"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is 1300' E from the trail. There is a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign mounted on a U-post, which bears N, 3' distant. Found three lodgepole pines (two 4-6' stumps) and a mountain hemlock each with a scribed blaze, a yellow BEARING TREE tag and a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the reverse side.

Deschutes National Forest; the corner is described as MONUMENT #9 in survey CS17230, filed in Deschutes County Surveyors Office.
