Thousands of pedestrians a week who walk along S Union street in this historic section of Pueblo pass C. R. Hedges' tombstone next to a building in the bustling heart of a busy commercial and restaurant district. How many have wondered who he is or how he came to be laid to rest here?
Mr. Hedges' grave has apparently been adopted by the area property owners. A nice iron fence encloses the grave, it is kept trimmed, and annual flowers are planted on it.
