I have seen bells mounted on church signs before; but this one is interesting because it is mounted under a small roof portion over the sign, thus keeping the bell out of the elements.
There is an arm for ringing the bell and the arm has a hole for a rope, but there is no rope. It is close enough to the ground that a medium-sized person could just as well reach up and pull on the arm to ring the bell.
On the yoke is stamped No. 24 Yoke, and that was all I could see for markings. Whether or not it is used, it is ready to call the townsfolk to church.
