Located off Bechelli Lane in a parking area is a new trailhead access point that accesses the Sacramento River Trail, a multi-network of trails that the City of Sacramento has instituted to provide its citizens proper avenues for exercise and outdoor recreation.
This trailhead and parking area are so new it doesn't appear on the Sacramento River Trail PDF map. It's tucked away north of a residential neighborhood, west of Interstate-5, south of Hwy 44 and east of the Sacramento River.
The trail inventory now includes 80 miles of paved and natural surface trails. These include paved paths, walking loops within existing parks, and challenging dirt trails for mountain bike enthusiasts and equestrians.
