Baroque Church of St. Anne (Kostel sv. Anny), built by renown Baroque architect Giovanni Batista Alliprandi in 1705-1715, is the key architectonic element of the main public space of town Benešov - Masarykovo námestí (Masaryk Square). The church is filial church of Benešov Roman Catholic parish.
Church of St. Anne was as a part of Benešov' Piarist College built at the expenses of Karel Prehorovský count of Kvasejovice (hrabe Karel Prehorovský z Kvasejovic) and Jan Josef count of Wrtba (hrabe Jan Josef z Vrtby. The church, built at the Greek cruciform ground plan, has front facade divided by lesenes, which are changing to the horizontal belt under cornice. In the central facade' field is entrance portal with simple jamb and cartouche with coat of arms of Jan Josef count of Wrtba. Above the entrance portal is window and triagonal gable separated by cornice. In the concave undulation of both side facade' fields are two vertically positioned windows (the lower are blind). The church's Baroque interior was decorated by many renown Czech Baroque artists, e.g. by sculptors Josef Jirí Jelínek (1698–1770), Lazar Widmann (1697–1768), Ferdinand Zelenka of Nespeky and by painters Felix Ivo Leicher (1727–1812) and František Liechtenreiter (1700–1775).
