The cafe is not related to the Dixie chain often found along US interstate highways. It is a family-run business. Its decor is primarily old "stuff", such as old lamps, bottles, toys, trays, and the like. They bolted this complete well pump on the sidewalk out front for atmosphere, since clearly it is not over a well! Stamped on the handle is the lettering
THE F. E. MYERS & BRO CO.
a history of which can be found at this page. The pump handle is missing a pin or bolt to make the pump ready to use on a real well.
