The monument at the Emma Pyramide in Rozendaal was established in memory of the ten men who were shot here by the occupier in the woods on December 13, 1944.

The names of the ten victims:
David Baker, Rudolf van Balen, Gerard Brand, Brand Show, Reyer van de Haar, Wim Jongsma, Hans Kaper, Benny Radstake, Douwe Ruitinga and Leo Toepoel.
The victims came from the Netherlands and were arrested because they had tried to escape towards the liberated south. Eight of them were trapped in the Rotterdam Bank in Velp and two in Ede. The fusillade was retaliation by the occupying forces. The bodies of the victims of the fusillade were found in 1947.
Unveiling:
The monument was unveiled on December 13, 1997 by Mayor H. van Rijn Bach and former freedom fighter C. de Kruijff.
