This overlook can be found on the Ridge Rd in Westcott Beach State Park, which is located off NY 3, 3 miles west of Sackets Harbor at Henderson Bay, New York, USA.
At the main park entrance, turn east on Ridge Rd and then take an immediate right toward the Plateau Campsites # 130-169. Continue on this road until you reach the overlook. There is no day-use fee for visiting the overlook.
From the overlook, you can see a spectacular view of the eastern part of Lake Ontario, from Stony Point to Boulton’s Beach.
Westcott Beach State Park is a popular day-use and camping park on Lake Ontario, with rolling, wooded hills and open, grassy meadows sheltered by Henderson Bay. A small marina is adjacent to the long, sandy beach, to accommodate anglers interested in Lake Ontario's excellent black bass fishing. The park also has a children's playground, picnic areas, and hiking trails that do double duty in winter for cross-country skiing.
