A stone walled memorial with three walls. A small garden on each side and behind, with a paved path leading from the main footpath. The left hand panel lists the names from the first world war. Central panel has dedication for both wars. Right hand panel lists names names from second world war.

Central panel reads-
"This monument was erected in memory of the men of this Parish who made the Supreme Sacrifice in two world wars.
1914-1918 - 1939-1945.

Hood Green is a small village near Stainborough in Barnsley.
