The small cemetery is located along the Meigs Mountain trail just west of the Curry Mountain trail. The latter is the shorter distance from a trailhead.

There are 18 graves marked by pairs of rock slabs to designation the head and feet of those buried. Only two inscribed headstones exists. One for Polly Huskey, born Oct 23, 1866 and died Jan 27, 1909. Find-a-Grave references two books about Smoky Mountain Clans, which says the date of passing on her tombstone is incorrect. The other grave is simply marked as "Infant Son of L.M. & Lillie Huskey".

The park service sends someone up here regularly to maintain the cemetery by removing the fallen limbs and keep the grass in check with a trimmer.

Come remember that there were families who attempted to scratch out a living in these hills before the land was set aside as a national park... after the lumber company took out the trees.
