Ultimately, Siciliano's is best known for one thing: Their garlic rolls. Bring them up in conversation -- "That place off of Buckingham and Shiloh" -- and inevitably, you'll hear something along the lines of "Is that the place with the garlic rolls?"
After they outgrew their original location on Walnut, south of here, Siciliano's expanded to this huge building, putting the days of long lines behind them, and they've got the facilities to handle large groups. They also cater, and they have a "Parties to Go" menu.
This is the real deal, and founder Paolo Siciliano got his start back in the Detroit area, where there is a significant Italian-American community. Their menu has what you would expect on the menu at an Italian restaurant, and they do stromboli and calzones in addition to both deep dish and New York style pizza. There is a full bar in addition to a small selection of wine and beer, and of course, they provide soft drinks. If you have room after all that -- they'll keep bringing those rolls -- they have wonderful desserts. They are family-friendly, with a kids menu, and accept cash and credit cards.
