This dated stone sits in front of the Dundas Historical Society Museum. The museum was built in 1955 and opened in April 1956. The building was built from concrete, steel and brick as to be fire resistant (thus protecting the valuables inside) and built with heating and cooling systems to preserve the artifacts.
In 1963 a second gallery was added to the building. The museum is part of the Ontario Museum Association.
