This former methodist church was built in 1876 as Mt. Carmel Methodist Church of Canada. The red brick church then became a United church, changing its name to Glenora United Church. The church has a dated stone on it stating: Mt. Carmel M.C. of Canada A.D. 1876"

The church is located close to Lake on the Mountain Provincial Park.
