The Water Tower located at Plaza de Castilla was finished in 1952 as a part of the Canal de Isabel II - Madrid's water supply system. It is located since 1952 at the end of Paseo de la Castellana, in an annex to the Plaza de Castilla. It is located in the municipal area near the place where the underground reservoir Laplaza of Castile, built in 1939, with a capacity of 180,000 m3 is located. The water tower built in 1939-1952 has a capacity of 3,800 m3 and a height about 40 meters.
