The result is a much more attractive city hall/fire hall combination with a Spanish theme, with stucco exterior walls and tile roofs on the city hall and fire all. There is now also a memorial cenotaph in front of city hall, a small square with shrub and flower plantings, a couple of historic informational signs telling of the history of city hall and of the city, some sculpture, and this fountain

The fountain consists of a large round pool of exposed aggregate outside and tile lining inside, with several water jets in the centre of the pool. As is the norm, many people use the pool as a wishing well, proceeds from which go to charity.
