This is one of two Ordnance QF 25 Pounder Artillery pieces on display in Alexandra Park. Of World War II vintage this piece was built in 1942 by Sorel Industries in Quebec. Stampings on the breech indicate it is a Mark II gun.
The plate on the carriage also indicates a 1942 build date, with a serial number of L1012.
