This broad stone and concrete obelisk shaped cairn was erected by the Osoyoos Legion, Branch #173 at city hall in 1962 in memory of Osoyoos and District war dead and was dedicated in 1963. It has a large bronze plaque on the face, placed in memory of the war dead of both World Wars, below which is a separate smaller bronze plaque remembering the Korean War.
