The major battle of Austro-Prussian war (
visit link) was preceded by several other military clashes and minor skirmishes and battles. These skirmishes had their own victims and this victims has own a monuments.

This is the memorial of the victims of The Battle of Trautenau [CZ: Trutnov] (
visit link) . It was fought on June 27, 1866. It was the only battle of the war that ended in an Austrian victory over the Prussians, but at a large cost.

Tento pomník je venován obetem bitvy u Trutnova. Pouze v této bitve slavila vítezství rakouská armáda, avšak za velkou cenu.
Pomník u kaple sv. Michala na ulici Husova. Jde o cerný žulový pomník vojáku zemrelých v úpickém lazaretu. V tomto prostoru byl dríve hrbitov, tento pomník byl porízen ve 30. letech 20. stol. po zrušení dvou starších pomníku ve stejné lokalite. Hrob 31 vojáku s nápisem: Obetem války z r. 1866. Zde odpocívá 31 vojínu, kterí zemreli v úpickém lazaretu následkem zranení utrpených v bitve u Starého Rokytníka a Rubínovic dne 27. cervna 1866. Na podstavci vpravo: Ant. Herzog.
