The elegant Bloom Fountain in the Vicksburg Memorial Rose Garden esplanade has been a spot of art and beauty since 1926. It is a contributing structure to the Uptown Vicksburg Historic District.

The water flows very slowly from this fountain, both from the cup held by the Goddess and from the bowl beneath her feel. It is hard to see in the photos, but we can attest that this is a working fountain as of 01 Sep 2014.
The Uptown Vicksburg Historic District is comprised of 86 contributing buildings and structures within a rectangular district in downtown Vicksburg roughly bounded by Washington Street on the west, South Street on the south, Locust Street on the east, and Clay Street on the north. The Uptown Vicksburg Historic District was listed on the US National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

A granite fountain featuring a bronze figure of the Greek goddess Hebe. The fountain was bequeathed in 1926 by Louis Bloom, a prominent Vicksburg businessman. Designed and sculpted at a cost of $6,500 by Albert Weiblan Granite Company of New Orleans. 1927."
