The major battle of Austro-Prussian war (visit link) was preceded by several other military clashes and minor skirmishes and battles. These skirmishes had their own victims and this victims has own a monuments.

This is the memorial of the victims of The Battle of Trautenau [CZ: Trutnov] (visit link) . It was fought on June 27, 1866. It was the only battle of the war that ended in an Austrian victory over the Prussians, but at a large cost.

Tento pomník je venován obetem bitvy u Trutnova. Pouze v této bitve slavila vítezství rakouská armáda, avšak za velkou cenu.

Pomník a hrob Josefa Thegera, kadeta rakouského 24. peš. pluku s nápisem: Hier ruhet Josef Theger k.k. Kadet Fldw. des 24. L. I. Regiment Herzog v. Parma, geb. zu Wien 1. April 1846 gef. u. geßt. im Gefecht bei Trautenau am 28. Juni 1866. Na soklu: J.Russ Pilnikau.
Hrob je na hrbitove, vpravo za kostelem u ohradní zdi.
