Anton Bohm, master stone carver, created his own monument before his death. On the rear, he documented the loss of his father during an air raid in Hamburg, Germany.

This exquisite example of stone carving may be found in Olinger's Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, section 35. Anton Bohm, master stone carver, created his own monument before his death. The top is adorned with the tools of his trade, followed by Gothic-style text deeply engraved listing his birth, start of trade (1910), death and his wife, Emmy birth and death. At the bottom is a quote from W. C. Bryant (carved signature!). The back lists a tribute to his father, who was killed in an air raid in Hamburg, Germany during WWII.
The engraving reads:
Also in loving remembrance of my father, August Bohm, who was killed duirng an air attack over Hamburg, Germany, July 27, 1943, at the age of 86 years. His resting place is unknown.
Crown Hill Cemetery is open to the public from dawn to dusk with free admission. This is a privately owned cemetery.
