První písemnou zmínku o Lipuvce nalézáme roku 1371 v Moravských zemských deskách. Z archeologických nálezu však víme, že zde žili lidé již mnohem dríve. Dá se predpokládat, že sem proniklo pomerne brzy i krestanství, a to již v dobe, kdy ješte byla na Morave živá cyrilometodejská tradice. Nasvedcuje tomu kostelík sv.Klimenta, který stával na návrší asi 1,5 km jihozápadne od Lipuvka. Kostel byl za reforem Josefa II. Roku 1787 zrušen. Farním kostelem Lipuvka zustal až do roku 1750, kdy byl postaven v obci soucasný kostel sv.Cecílie.
Škola v Lipuvce byla již v 17.století. Roku 1818 byla postavena nedaleko kostela nová jednotrídní škola. Další škola (dnešní budova MŠ) byla vystavena roku 1902 a mela tri trídy. Soucasná základní škola byla zprovoznena roku 1961.
Roku 1784 byla zrízena pri císarské silnici erární dedicná pošta, která byla zrušena roku 1876. Budova bývalé pošty stojí dodnes (prodejna masa) a je po kostele sv.Cecílie nejstarší stavbou v Lipuvce.

The first written mention of Lipuvce is found in 1371 in the Moravian provincial boards. From archaeological finds, we know that there were people much earlier. It is assumed here that penetrated relatively early Christianity, and this at a time when she was still living at Moravia, Cyril and Methodius tradition. Suggests sv.Klimenta church, which stood on a hill about 1.5 km southwest of Lipuvka. The church was for the emperor Joseph II. In 1787 canceled. School Lipuvce was already in the 17th century. In 1818 the church was built near the new one school. Another school (kindergarten current building) was built in 1902 and had three classes. The current elementary school was opened Act 1961.
In 1784 was established at the imperial road-issue hereditary post, which was abolished in 1876, the former post office building is still standing (meat shop) and is the oldest church building in St Cecilia Lipuvce.
