St Augustine's church is built in the stone gothic style with a pitch clay tiled roof. Although the town was settled in 1907 anglican services were held in the school hall, but by 1938 the congregation recognised the need for a new church. In 1939, a crown lease of 99 years was granted. The stone for the church construction and many of the church fittings were donated by local families and clergy.
Year of construction: 1939
