Located next to the Sparks Heritage Museum is the Sparks Memorial Park. Their website reads:
Sparks Memorial Park received a much needed renovation in 2008. The park has become the focal point for monuments recognizing Veterans of various wars as well as fire and law enforcement personnel. Refurbishments included 11,000 square feet of new pavers, iron fencing along Pyramid Way to keep visitors safe from traffic hazards, lighting upgrades to enhance the memorials, increased space for future monuments and improved landscaping. The Police Department coordinated the placement of a new statue to coincide with the park renovation, honoring past, present and future law enforcement officers who serve the Sparks community.
There are numerous sculptures, plaques and other items of interest within this park to make a visit here a worthwhile trip.
