Southwark Park is Grade II listed, covers 26 hectares and opened to the public on 19th June 1869. There are seven entrances around the perimeter of the park and this information board, that includes the map, is at one of them.
The map is at the centre of the information board with a history of the park on its left as well as information about the entrance. On the right side of the map is a legend and a few parks rules. The map shows pthas through the parks, location of the lake and trees and the park's attractions.
