Three Floyds is best known for Dark Lord Day, when folks come from miles around on the last Saturday of April to queue up for bottles of their Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout, available only that day. However, they are generally recognized by fans of craft beer of being one of the best breweries in the United States. "It's not normal."

This is a wonderful place to have a beer, a great place to dodge rush hour, and they offer up not only their own beers, but guest bottles and drafts, too. Frankly, one can keep very busy with the 3 Floyds beers all by themselves, and there's plenty of good food to go with it. The fare wanders a bit into foo-foo territory, but most of what's on the menu is solid stuff with a flash of "Why didn't _I_ think of this type of thing?" Think "BBQ Mac and Cheese" or "Grilled Cauliflower with Cheese." Try the beignets with something dark for dessert.

The atmosphere is loud but not crazy enough that you can't hear yourself think. There's a bar area where most of the action happens, and flanking it are the dining area and the to-go kiosk.
