The old arsenal was built in the early 16th Century and remodeled in the 17th Century when a Renaissance attic story was added. During the 1665-1662 the building was severely damaged and remained a ruin until late 18th Century when it was rebuilt. It burned down in 1944. Reconstructed again, it hosts the Museum of Applied Arts since 1987.
It keeps its initial Gothic structure with Renaissance facades.
