Our family discovered this dated plaque while watching our son play in an AAU basketball tournament here at the Reno/Sparks Convention Center. The convention center is open to the public most of the time during and even after-hours, depending on if an event is going on (which there usually is). This plaque is probably the furthest inside a building we've come across. If you visit this convention center, be sure to visit the historical 'T' marker which highlights the Emigrant Trail which passed through this area in the mid-1800s.

The posted coordinates place you at the NW entrance to the Center. I've uploaded a map image of where the plaque is located. Look around, you may find another dated plaque!.
